Reasons to be cheerful (part 3)

Hashem judges each person individually. A simple factory worker’s struggle to understand a page of Gemara might give Hashem more gratification than the Torah scholar’s mastery of an entire tractate. Every tiny effort in spiritual gain down in this lowly material world creates a monumental impression in the lofty spiritual worlds. Therefore, don’t sell yourself short, and don’t compare yourself to others. Do the best you can, then simply rejoice in everything you’ve accomplished. Look at your good points and believe that they are very dear to Hashem. Once you do, you’ll serve Hashem with joy and you’ll steadily climb the spiritual ladder.
